This week we are unloading the kiln which has around 300 board feet of walnut that has been dried. All slabs have been tried to atleast 8% Moisture Content. Slabs vary in length and width but are mostly around 8/4. Most are live edge and have lots of figure.

Slabs are between 8$ and 12$ a board foot. If interested in purchasing any of the wood contact me via the email above to make an appointment to come see the wood.

We are not shipping slabs at this time but are planning on offering that in the near future.

When we bought the farm last fall the building that would house the mill had a metal roof and was open on the end and partially on the side. Other than cleaning out the area the biggest problem I had was the insulation. The building had this paper thin insulation that was tore in most places and falling off every time I tried to repair it. I made the call last month to get closed cell spray foam installed. The contractor showed up last week and did the whole building in one day. The building is 20x70, 20x30 is the wood shop and the rest 20x40 is the sawmill part. They sprayed 1 1/2 thick closed cell and got the job done in about 6 hours. The biggest difference so far is the building is now a lot cooler and in the morning I have no more condensation dripping down on the LT40. Very happy with this decision and would encourage anyone with a condensation issue that this will help your problem. I also had a few small leaky/drips in the ceiling around screw head that attached the metal to the trusses. This also fixed that problem also. The cost was $2500.00 and they also did the gable ends also. I have two barns to build here in the future and both will get this same treatment. Here is the video showing some of the process. I have been making videos on You-Tube now since 2016. In November of that year is when I uploaded my first video ever " One man Logging". That took a lot of courage to do and looking back now I should have started sooner. I didn't tell my wife, my friends or anyone that I had uploaded a video to YT. Out of fear of judgement and other trivial matters I kept it to myself. Now just two year and 350 uploads later I finally feel like I am getting somewhere with my channel. Even though when compared to other more successful channels I appear to be lacking in views and subscribers I feel like my goals on my channel are finally coming to fruition. If you go back to my early videos you will see a drastic change in style, quality and story telling in my videos. In the fall of 2018 I started to see a constant growth with my views and subscribers that I had never seen before. I felt like finally my videos where breaking through and reaching people. As a video creator I always knew that if given the chance to be seen my videos would thrive on YT and someday pay off in a big way. This blog post isn't about my channel breakthrough or to say that I have reached my pinnacle of success it is more about the journey I have par taken to reach a small level of success on a crowded platform that isn't always welcome to new comers.

Some of the best advice I have ever read was to stop caring about what other people think. It wasn't until I started implementing that into my videos that I finally saw the growth that I was after. It wasn't until the summer of 2018 that I let go of that way of thinking totally and the results followed. I can only imagine that if I started off back in 2016 with that frame of mind where would my channel be today.

In closing this blog post is not about me it's about you if you were like me and held back due to the judgement of others. Let go of that vise and good things will

follow.
